Jerome has regularly combined with Manu Vatuvei to form a potent left-side attack for both the Vodafone Warriors and the Kiwis, especially in 2008. Ropati scored nine tries for his club that season and followed up with seven for his country including one in New Zealand's World Cup final win against the Kangaroos. His 2009 season was restricted by injuries but he still made 17 appearances, in the process joining the group of players who have reached the milestone of 100 NRL games for the club. In 2009, his eighth first-grade season, he signed a new contract through to the end of 2012. He played 19 times for the club in 2010, scoring seven tries to take his career total to 47. Jerome started his ninth NRL campaign in brilliant form, scoring two tries in the first-round loss to Parramatta only for his season to be ended by a serious knee injury in the third-round against St George Illawarra. While his on-field role was over, he has immersed himself in community and promotional work for the club and also fronts a weekly online programme 'League Fix' on www.tv3.co.nz which is posted on the site each Tuesday.
